Taalim-Forum holds a series of meetings on distance education in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Mongolia

In August through September, meetings were held to discuss digital and distance education in the three countries together with representatives of the Ministries of Education, National KIX Committees, experts, consultants, and researchers of “Taalim-Forum”, “Anahita” and the Nomadic Nature Conservation organizations. The discussions were conducted within the framework of the project “Promoting Innovative Approaches of Distance Education to Increase Access and Reduce Inequality in Education in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Mongolia”.

Participants exchanged opinions, results of the preliminary analysis of the situation during the school closures and quarantines, perspectives and emerging innovations in distance and digital education and technologies.

The results of the discussions will form the basis of methodology and tools for conducting research in three countries, focusing on improving access to education for remote regions, the use of technology and open educational resources, improving ICT skills among teachers and students, and identifying innovative approaches in distance education.
