First episode of the KIX Africa 21 hub "Parole d'experts": A conversation with Zara Bakingue

This first episode of "Parole d'experts"  by the KIX Africa 21 Hub ​​​​​, examines the importance of teacher training programs for the skills development of teachers. In this episode, they speak with Ms. Zara Bakingue, Director of Initial and Continuous Teacher Training at the Ministry of Primary Education, Literacy, Promotion of National Languages and Civic Education of Niger.

This contribution by Ms. Bakingue highlights the strategies developed by Niger, a partner country of the KIX Africa 21 hub, to ensure quality teacher training as well as the monitoring and evaluation mechanism of the trained teachers.

Ms. Bakingue addresses the importance of the Initiative Francophone pour la Formation à Distance des Maîtres (IFADEM) deployed by the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) through the Institut de la Francophonie pour l'éducation et la formation (IFEF) and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), for in-service training of teachers
