Removing barriers to learning for African girls (KIX19 Animation)

UNICEF ESARO, as part of the KIX Africa 19 Hub Consortium has recently released a series of animated videos that offer insights into the multifaceted approach required to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive.

With 21 million girls out of school in Eastern and Southern Africa, challenges such as poverty, child marriage, and social norms impede their access to education. This animated video, titled “Removing barriers to learning for African girls” addresses efforts that seek to improve educational access and outcomes for girls, underlining the importance of concerted efforts in overcoming obstacles to education.
