Within a study that aimed to develop a play-based learning model and strengthen capacity of teachers, a scoping review was conducted to gain insights on the LtP models that have been successfully used in the African context. The review provides a theoretical basis of how well LtP approaches can be incorporated into the Tayari model and how they can be integrated into existing processes such as teacher training programs at relatively low cost in Kenya and beyond.
