The campaign for gender equity and social inclusion in education access has been strong in recent times, especially among the global south nations. Being one of these nations, Nigeria has pursued the goal of making quality education accessible to all, irrespective of gender, religion, ethnic group, and socio-economic background. This is obvious as witnessed in policies such as free compulsory basic education as well as various incentivizing efforts evidenced in intervention programs. Despite several policies and interventions initiated, girls’ education still remains a major challenge in the country.
