Gender (in)equality in Education: A Study of Rural Community School at Rautahat District

This study is carried out with a major objective to analyze the present status of rural
community schools of Yamunamai rural municipality in Rautahat district of Nepal with
respect to gender (in)equality within the school premises. The main objective of this study is
to identify the determinants of gender in/equality in rural community schools of Yamunamai
rural municipality. The study focuses only on basic education in public schools which is up to
grade 8. The study is carried out using a mixed method and the respondents are both boys
and girls from grade 3-8.
