East African countries need to urgently focus on practices and policies that equip young people with the 21st Century skills that will help them navigate the demands of the current market. This study seeks to understand the extent to which learning assessments inform policy and practice, the extent to which they include life skills and values, and how best the data can be used to improve educational policies and practices in Uganda.
