FORMATIVE STUDY ON THE UTILISATION OF LEARNING ASSESSMENTS IN TANZANIA

Global e-Schools and Communities Initiative (GESCI) is implementing a two-year project “Adapting Assessment into Policy and Learning (ADAPT): Adolescent 21st Century Skills in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania” in collaboration with Makerere University and The University of Notre Dame. The project aims to promote the acquisition of 21st-century skills for adolescents by strengthening the use of data from learning assessments. To realise the project objective, it was important to conduct a formative study to establish how past learning assessments have been used to influence policy and practice as well as establishing the barriers and enablers for evidence-based decision-making in education.
