Data Must Speak: Unpacking factors influencing school performance in Zambia
Research Report Non-Peer Reviewed

The Government of Zambia prioritizes raising learning outcomes through strategies that address gaps in education system quality, access, equity and efficiency. This new report from the Data Must Speak (DMS) Positive Deviance Research analyzes the resources and contextual factors associated with school performance and learning outcomes in Zambia, ranging from teachers’ gender to the presence of sanitation facilities. This analysis is the first phase of a longer-term initiative in partnership between the Zambian Ministry of Education, UNICEF Zambia, UNICEF Innocenti, and other partners that aims to identify and scale promising school-level practices throughout the country.
