The case study ‘Criteria-based Assessment through Descriptors (CAD) in Basic Education in the Republic of Moldova’ is a knowledge product of the first KIX EAP Learning Cycle on "Feasibility Studies on Scaling Innovation". In this study, Moldova's national education expert team examines the use of criteria and descriptors instead of marks to assess students' performances. Specifically, this study analyses how the CAD framework can be expanded to the gymnasium level in basic education.
