As part of its knowledge mobilization efforts, PUSKAPA (Center on Child Protection and Wellbeing, Universitas Indonesia) presented updates from its GPE-KIX-funded project, Empowering Schools as Frontliners: Enhancing the Implementation of Violence Prevention and Management Policy in Indonesia, at the Regional Forum on Transforming Teachers and Teaching for Adolescent Health, Well-being, and Gender Equality. The forum took place in Bangkok from 23–25 September 2025.

Co-organized by the Asia-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW), UNESCO Regional Office in Bangkok, UNICEF Regional Offices for East Asia and the Pacific and South Asia, UNFPA Asia and Pacific Regional Office, Education International Asia-Pacific (EIAP), YPEER Asia Pacific Center, and the SDD4Youth Network, the event brought together more than 130 participants from 20 countries. It provided a dynamic space for dialogue, exchange, and collaboration on advancing gender equality and adolescent well-being through education.

Within this collaborative setting, PUSKAPA delivered a poster presentation during the World Café Session on Research and Evidence in Transformative Education, highlighting the project's progress and preliminary findings. The presentation showcased PUSKAPA's participatory and iterative approach to strengthening violence prevention and management in schools, promoting gender-responsive education, and integrating peace education into implementation practices across six schools.

PUSKAPA’s work demonstrates how capacity-building and sensitization activities can be developed based on initial problem identification, ensuring that interventions are responsive to school and community needs. Forum participants expressed strong interest in the project, recognizing its relevance to regional efforts toward gender-transformative education.

Through the forum, the PUSKAPA team also gained valuable insights and skills to further strengthen gender-responsive strategies within classrooms and the broader education sector.
