KIX is excited to be joining the discussion at the Comparative and International Education Society’s conference, CIES 2022. The conference will feature a hybrid model with both in-person meetings in Minneapolis, Minnesota and virtual events between April 18-22.

Adaptation of Education Innovations in the Global South: Reflections from Knowledge and Innovation Exchange Projects 

This virtual pre-conference workshop aims to study how to effectively bring innovations and their impacts to scale within education. It seeks to do this by examining how a set of projects—each of which conducts research in support of scaling the impact of innovations across different contexts in the Global South.

Challenges and Innovations in Distance Education: Transformative Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic in the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, and Tajikistan 

This in-person presentation will report on the early results of research on distance education being undertaken by a recently formed South-South consortium of researcher-practitioners in the Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, and Tajikistan.

Building Resilience of Education Systems: Policy and Practice Responses to COVID-19 in Education in Africa 

This in-person roundtable will feature members from KIX Africa 19 and Africa 21 hubs together with colleagues from APHRC and AU/CIEFFA. It will focus on results from a synthesis of policy and practice responses to the COVID-19 in educational systems in Africa using the gender equality, equity and inclusion lens.
