Happy International Day of Education!

We are excited to celebrate the International Day of Education (IDE)! On this day, we celebrate the important work of KIX partners in scaling education innovations in 70 countries worldwide. Throughout the day KIX will release a variety of online activities to reflect this year’s IDE theme: Changing Course, Transforming Education. Here’s how you can take part:

1. Join the conversation on social media:

Throughout the day the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) will be sharing posts on education innovations from their respective social media accounts. Join the conversation by using these hashtags  #GPEKIX and #EducationDay and by tagging IDRC and GPE accounts in your posts.

3. Join the online celebration for the International Day of Education

Register here to watch the celebration for the International Day of Education in New York, organized by UNESCO and the Group of Friends for Education and Lifelong Learning with the participation of the President of the UN General Assembly,  UN Secretary-General, as well as UNESCO Director General. The celebrations will take place between 9:00 AM-10:30 AM EST and you can also watch it live here on UN Web TV.

 

4. Watch KIX’ latest video series on the KIX Regional Hubs

Hear about the efforts of the KIX Regional Hubs to bridge knowledge and innovation on education with key decision makers around the world in this new video series titled, Positioning Evidence and Innovations for Use: Video series on the KIX Regional Hubs

In a series of 3-4 short videos, each of the four hubs provides insights on the utility of the KIX hubs for national education systems, progress in their cross-country knowledge sharing initiatives, achievements in bridging the knowledge to policy gap in international education, and  ways they have adapted their approaches during the COVID-19 pandemic.
