
On January 12, 2022, Anahita, together with the Department of Information Management of the Education System and the Ministry of Education and Science of Republic Tajikistan, held a roundtable discussion on "Digitalization of the Education Management System". Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Statistics Agency under the President of Tajikistan, the KIX National Committee Coordinator, the Islamic Development Bank, the General Education Schools Reconstruction Project, UNICEF, and the Information and Analytical Center under the Department of Education, as well as managers and consultants of the Project from Kyrgyzstan, took part in the discussions.
First, Deputy Minister of Education and Science, M. Salomiyon, noted that digitalization of the education management system and development of the concept of digital education in Tajikistan is one of the important directions of education reform. A. Gulzoda, Head of the Information Management Department of the Ministry of Education and Science, stressed in his speech that the main task of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) is to integrate the process of collecting, processing, and protecting information about education and activities of educational institutions and to provide information to state and public authorities. Next spoke Sh. Karimzoda, Director of the Information and Analytical Center at the Main Department of Education of Dushanbe, and M. Nematulloev, Director of Gymnasium. They spoke about the implementation process of the complex "e-Donish" in secondary schools of the city.
The presentation of the Vice President of the Kyrgyz Academy of Education, Professor U.E. Mambetakunov, on "Education with the use of distance technologies to improve the quality and accessibility of education in the Kyrgyz Republic" piqued the interest of the roundtable participants. From the Kyrgyz side, KIX National Committee Coordinator, J. Bokonbaeva, Taalim-Forum Director A. Osmonova, Project Lead J. Doolbekova, and others took part in the discussions.
