Celebrating Another Year of Impact: The Sixth GPE KIX Annual Report

We are pleased to announce the release of the sixth annual report of the Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (GPE KIX) - a milestone that marks another year of progress toward our core goals: 

  • Generating knowledge
  • Mobilizing evidence
  • Strengthening capacity 

This year's report follows an independent external evaluation conducted in early 2025, which affirmed the effectiveness of KIX’s distinctive model. Anchored in regional knowledge exchange Hubs and supported by locally relevant, applied research, GPE KIX continues to respond directly to education priorities identified through the Hubs. It is precisely this unique structure that enables a dynamic interplay between knowledge generation and mobilization that continues to drive evidence-informed education policy and practice across partner countries. 

Featured Theme 2024–2025: Strengthening Data Systems 

Timely, high-quality data is essential for effective education planning. Without it, ministries of education often struggle to address urgent challenges, such as reaching out-of-school children, addressing teacher shortages, or ensuring continuity in learning. 

This year's report spotlights data systems and data use - highlighting findings from a GPE KIX synthesis report of five applied research projects focused on improving education data ecosystems in low-resource contexts. 

From in-depth research to cross-country collaboration, the report details how KIX-supported activities - such as webinars, in-person discussions, and intercountry learning exchanges - have helped governments strengthen data systems and make better use of data to inform education policies.
