Today we launched a call for proposals to support the development of a Gender Equality and Inclusion Strategy for the Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange! The call is open until February 3, 2021 and you can apply here: https://buyandsell.gc.ca/procurement-data/tender-notice/PW-21-00941272

About the call
Gender equality and inclusion is at the center of KIX’ mission and mandate. KIX grant recipients have either directly or indirectly incorporated gender equality and inclusion among their thematic areas of focus, planning and implementation. In order to ensure that the proper support and tools are provided to KIX grant recipients and KIX' implementing staff members, KIX seeks the support of a consultant with expertise in gender equality, inclusion and education, to lead the development of a gender equality and inclusion (GEI) strategy and begin to operationalize it within KIX. The consultant will be building off a body of GEI work that KIX has already initiated through its calls for proposals, scoping studies, and programming material, among others.

Through this GEI strategy, KIX will ensure that all grant recipients and research support projects incorporate GEI considerations at each step of their work. This strategy will also enable KIX' implementing staff to support KIX grant recipients in applying a GEI lens to their work and ensure that all program operations consider GEI principles (including project design and implementation, knowledge translation activities, monitoring, evaluation and learning, and the intended results).
