Summary Findings: Improving learning and life skills for marginalized children: Scaling the Learner Guide Program in Tanzania
Executive Summary | Jenny Perlman Robinson and Lydia Wilbard

The report focuses on a Real-time Scaling Lab launched in Tanzania in 2018 in partnership with the Campaign for Female Education and the Center for Universal Education at Brookings. Real-time Scaling labs generate evidence and provide practical recommendations around scaling in global education — encouraging stronger links between research and practice. This lab examined processes of implementing, adapting, and scaling the Learner Guide Program, which delivers life skills and mentorship provided by local female secondary school graduates to secondary school students, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology and the President’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government.
