Strengthening in-service teacher mentorship and support: Endline Evaluation
| Dr. Charles Sokile

The School based In-service Teacher Training (SITT) project aimed to support practice-based teacher mentorship programmes through training mentor teachers to coach and mentor fellow teachers through peer learning exchange, model lessons and team teaching. This report is drawn from detailed data collected from students, mathematics teachers, principals of schools and teacher training colleges, education officials, teacher unions and quality assurance officers in three countries Tanzania, Kenya and Zambia. An evaluation of the projects activities points to a number of findings in relation to relevance, effectiveness, impact, efficiency and sustainability of the SITT innovation.
