Data Must Speak: Unpacking factors influencing school performance in Ghana
Research Report Non-Peer Reviewed

Beyond traditional sector analysis, the Ministry of Education of Ghana is invested in deepening its use of existing data to enhance education quality. This new report from the Data Must Speak (DMS) Positive Deviance Research analyzes the resources and contextual factors associated with school performance in Ghana, ranging from headteachers’ gender, teacher academic and professional qualifications, and schools’ location. This analysis is the first phase of a longer-term initiative in partnership between the MoE of Ghana, UNICEF Ghana, UNICEF Innocenti, and other partners that aims to identify and scale promising school-level practices throughout the country.
