The Community of Practice in Teacher Education Reform in Sub-Saharan Africa is a learning and exchange platform for Ministry of Education officers, teacher educators, school leaders, and education researchers in Africa to discuss and deepen their understanding of strategies that are improving initial teacher education and professional development in the region. The course and community of practice (CoP) was launched in July 2025 and concluded its first module on pre-service teacher education reform topics in February 2026 with 163 participants in Africa joining 10 virtual peer-learning workshops between July and December 2025.
