Regional Competence Enhancement Workshop on Teacher CPD and Teaching Councils

The GPE KIX Africa 19 Hub, hosted by UNESCO IICBA, is organizing a five-day Regional Competence Enhancement Workshop from 16–20 June 2025 in Lusaka, Zambia. The workshop will bring together Ministry of Education focal points and national delegations from eight African countries to strengthen their capacity in designing effective Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programs for teachers and establishing functional teaching councils. 

Through benchmarking, knowledge exchange, experiential learning visits, and action planning, the workshop aims to promote sustainable teacher professional development and improved teacher management systems across the region.
