On November 17, 2020, there will be a launch event for the "Observatory on COVID-19 Responses in Educational Systems in Africa". The launch event will be hosted by the consortia that manages the observatory: Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) and the African Union’s International Centre for Girls’ and Women’s Education in Africa (AU/CIEFFA), with the technical support of the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS).
The Observatory, a new project funded by KIX, will serve as a catalyst and a one-stop-shop for learning and sharing information and evidence about COVID-19 responses in primary and secondary education to inform policy and practice in 41 GPE member countries in Africa.
