KIX LAC Regional Virtual Conference: Teaching practice in vulnerable contexts

This event aims to promote the exchange and mobilization of evidence generated by the applied research projects in the KIX LAC ecosystem, which work to identify, adapt, strengthen, and scale innovations that respond to the education challenges that matter most in the region. The conference will focus on strengthening teaching practice, closing educational gaps, and developing foundational learning in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Over the course of the sessions, participants will share findings, lessons and innovations relating to inclusive teaching practices, teacher professional development, equity, inclusion, and the adaptation of education systems in contexts of vulnerability.

The following projects will be joining us:

• Gender-inclusive pedagogy for community-level early childhood education in Guatemala and Honduras
• Scaling a learning-through-play model for early childhood education in El Salvador
• Capacity building for gender equity and inclusion in Caribbean schools
• Adapting and scaling peer mentoring for teachers and school leaders for equitable rural education (TEPA)
• Observatory for Educational Adaptation in Latin America and the Caribbean (AdaptED).
• Flexible educational trajectories: generation of evidence of the alternative education model for adolescents and young people in situations of vulnerability in Guatemala.
