Starting on April 28, KIX Africa 19 Hub is hosting three workshops focused on supporting GPE member countries by filling knowledge gaps, increasing access to evidence, and strengthening systems to support the discovery and uptake of evidence and innovations.

The workshops will enable policymakers to effectively identify knowledge gaps in their education systems, use existing research to fill those knowledge gaps, and improve education policies and practices at the national level. The following topics will be covered during the online workshops:

  • Session 1, April 28th: This session will focus on different types of research that inform education sector policies, the importance of research in decision making and the practical ways of generating research.
  • Session 2, May 5th: An expert guided research session in which developing country partners (DCPs) are expected to identify and analyse the available and missing research and knowledge in their individual countries and develop clear road maps to address research needs in their countries.
  • Session 3, May 12th: DCPs will continue to develop clear road maps to address research needs in their countries.

The virtual workshops will be held from 12–2PM GMT | 3–5PM EAT.
