The third webinar for the KIX EAP hub will cover the inspiring topic of ‘Designing with People for People in Education: An Introduction to Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design Methodologies’. The webinar will feature as guest speaker Sina Mossayeb, Chief Creative Officer of Aero. The opening remarks on Scaling Innovations in education will be delivered by Margarita Lopez, Senior Program Specialist at the International Development Research Centre, Canada.

Design thinking has been popularized in the last two decades in the public sector, after witnessing great success in the world of business. Often misunderstood and sometimes criticized, the impact of the methodology is something that can bring a fresh lens to classrooms, school organizations, and even larger state and nation-wide programs. In this introductory session, Sina Mossayeb will provide an interactive outlook of some practical methodologies of design thinking from his dozens of projects working with public and private sector companies around the world, as well as provide stories of support in the world of education. Sina Mossayeb will also address some ways to avoid pitfalls that often come with design thinking if not addressed appropriately.
