Elaine Unterhalter is Professor of Education and International Development at University College London (UCL). She has published widely on gender and education systems and global and national education policy. She is currently the Principal Investigator on the Bridging AGEE (Accountability for Gender Equality in Education) project, a partnership between UNESCO, UCL and the University of Malawi.
