Carmen Pon is a senior research consultant at the Education Development Trust where she has led research focused on the efficacy of global educational programmes for OOSCY. She has previously designed accelerated education programs for a community-based organization in Egypt serving out of school refugee youth.
She has also served on the GPE KiX panel for Education in Emergencies (EiE) and has co-authored an Evidence Summary on EiE for the UK Foreign Commonwealth Development Office’s What Works Hub.
Carmen holds a master’s degree in Education and International Development from University College London’s Institute of Education and completed a PhD from the University of Sussex, which focused on education in conflict-affected contexts.
